That was easily one of the top 3 best three trips I’ve ever taken. It was crazy how much stuff we did in such a short amount of time..I got to see a lot of Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and even a little bit of Harlem. I had some great company and very generous hosts everywhere we stayed. I only spent about $30 on food for the entire five days, but I had some of the greatest food I think I’ve eaten in my life.

The major highlights of the trip included Times Square, Chinatown, and the St. Marks street area. I also got to watch Annuals the first night we got there, and they were unbelievably good. They seemed to improve a lot since the last time I’ve seen them, and that’s saying something because they were awesome the first time. We went to the Museum of Natural History and some cool art galleries. I bought some interesting souvenirs for Chae at that point in the trip. I haven’t tried them yet, but I think I’m about to. Wish me luck..

We also hung out a bit in Central Park. That thing is enormous. I would estimate we saw about 1/16th of it, but the bit we did see was really nice even if it did smell immensly of horse s**t.

It was at this point in the trip I remembered my mom wanted to have a lot of pictures taken with me in them. I felt weird about asking Eric to take pictures of me, so the first few looked a lot like this:

After a few of those, I decided to start taking them a little differently.

Halloween was pretty crazy there too. That last picture of me is from that night. Apparently somebody gave me a bloody apron to wear as a costume. We went to a bar and had a few drinks, and I spent most of my time after that walking around the streets talking to everyone I saw in my Murray voice.

And here’s Trent.

And that pretty much concludes the trip I think. I would really like to go back sometime soon.

    • I think that sounds like an excellent idea. I probably won’t get to make another trip like that until after I graduate, but luckily that’ll only be like 4 or 5 months from now.
