beer

10 Aug

Pretty rough day at work today. I really. really. really. need to start looking for another job if I’m to retain some kind of happiness in life. Or maybe I need to get out of here sometime in the next year or so. Maybe after I graduate I’ll move away if there’s nothing anchoring me here too strongly. I’ll likely stay in Texas. Probably around the Austin area. That’s where all the cool kids seem to go.

Anyway, I had my first beer ever after work today. Did I mention I’m 22 years old? Yeah. I’m 22 years old. So I had my first beer ever today. It tasted breal bad. And it didn’t feel like it did anything. Maybe I should drink like 7 more.

I don’t really have anything else to say, so I’ll tell a story.

I was at work walking around and stuff. The usual. This heavy-set lady came up to me and requested some help. I went to help her find the shoe she was looking for. “I need this in a 9 and a half wiiide wydth,” she said. This is probably the one of the most common requests I get in footwear: wide-width shoes. I don’t even think like…80% of the people that request them even really need them. People just like to think they do for some reason. I’ve measured plenty of feet to know it’s not all that common. Anyway, I noticed that this particular shoe didn’t come in wide. I told the lady, and she said “Son, I bought these shoes 2 YEARS AGO in a 9 and a half wiiiiiiide wydth!” So I had another look and said “These shoes came out 3 months ago,” to which she replied “Well shiyut.” She got embarrassed and left.

The end.

“Maybe after I graduate I’ll move away if there’s nothing anchoring me here too strongly.”

…so your family wouldn’t be anchoring you here too strongly?

I could visit my family periodically. I think they’ll be alright without me..haha. And Christopher, I think we need to try some turbodog chocolate beer for your party tonight too. Plus I don’t agree with socialized healthcare. Would a commuinst say that? Hmm??

No a communist wouldn’t. But a socialist would. You’ve clearly mixed up your political classifications. Can move to PA with me if you want. Like in a year or so. And Turbodog is pretty bad from what I hear. Throwing chocolate turns in into a different story. Yoohoo beer?
