a few more things

30 Sep

The trip to Austin this weekend went well. I really enjoyed walking around the Texas State campus, mostly because of the weather and nice view. And I thank Eric and Jessica very much for letting me stay at their apartment, and Justin for tagging along and showing me around. However, I have found that Texas State doesn’t have my major, so moving over there is not looking so good. I still need to talk to an adviser to see if they can do anything for me.

Staying around here for now might not be so bad, now that I think about it. I would be around the majority of my friends and I could continue playing in my extremely inactive band. I really miss this stuff

The idea of moving still isn’t totally out of the question, it just isn’t as likely. If I do end up staying around here I’ll definitely have to get a new job soon. I keep saying that though. I’ll probably work at Academy until I have an old body.

Moving right along, Sarah Palin was quoted saying that dinosaurs and humans co-existed. Everyone is freaking out about it, but I think it would be cool if it was true.

see, look

Let’s take a poll. Which dinosaur would you want as a horse-like pet if you lived 6000 years ago?

1. Iguanadon
2. Alamosaurus
3. Megalosaurus
4. Jinfengopteryx

here I am, rockin’ like a hurricane

26 Sep

So it’s been a since I’ve posted due to the recent hurricane blocking me from the internet tubes. A lot has happened in the last few weeks.

First, there was the evacuation to Bossier City, Louisiana which was pretty fun. We stayed in a hotel casino called Diamond Jacks. It was very big and very nice. We later came back down to Lake Charles and stayed with some of my relatives that live there, and since that was closer we were able to survey the damage to Bridge City and surrounding areas daily.

During one of those surveys I went to my apartment to find food still in the refrigerator. Lacy and I wrapped some shirts around our faces and got to work. We ended up with about 3 bags of liquidy rotten food. That sucked big time. We then got power at the apartments almost a week later, but when that happened the smell in the place was unbearable. It smelled like pure death. I found the smell of death was coming from the refrigerator even though we cleaned it out, sanitized it, and put charcoal and baking soda in it, so I moved it outside, which also sucked.

I don’t have much time before my next class, so I’ll say some stuff really quick:

I bought an xbox 360 and Star Wars:The Force Unleashed. That game freaking rules.

When this semester is over, there is a very good chance that I’ll move to the San Marcos/Austin area. I’m looking into transferring to Texas State to finish out my college career.

I’m not too sure where I’m going to live for the next 2 and a half months. Maybe we’ll opt to stay at the apartment, but if not I’ll probably have to move in with my grandmother until the semester is over.

I’m going to Austin this weekend to look around and check the colleges out. Anyone who is off is more than welcome to come.

Gotta run now, but I’ll be posting more soon.

Thanks for reading

Sincerely, your friend colin
